Ontario Golf magazine is the official golf publication of the Golf Association of Ontario (GAO). The GAO provides leadership and promotes growth and development of amateur golf throughout the province while preserving the integrity and traditions of the game.
 Ted McIntyre - Noted for his writing skills, Ted McIntyre served as senior editor of ScoreGolf magazine for two and a half years before being hired as executive editor of the new Ontario Golf Magazine in the fall of 1999. He has headed up the editorial and production of numerous Bell Canadian Open, Senior Canada Open and Canadian Women's Open tournament programs for the Royal Canadian Golf Association, as well as the National Posts annual golf magazine since 2003 and Toronto Golf magazine since 2004.  Chris Gallow - Chris Gallow has gained fame as one of the most talented and innovative photographers in Canadian golf. He is the regular photographer of Ontario Golf magazine's popular covers and inside interviews with such prominent personalities as Peter Mansbridge, Doug Gilmour, Trish Stratus, former Ontario Premier Mike Harris, rockers The Tragically Hip, Tom Cochrane and Alex Leifson, world poker sensation Daniel Negreanu and billionaire Ron Joyce.  Bruce McCarrol - Bruce is the Director of Instruction for the Golf Institute at Bond Head, a brand new state-of-the-art teaching and coaching facility located at The Club at Bond Head, just north of Toronto.  Rob Thompson - A contributor to OG since 2000, Robert Thompson is the golf columnist with the National Post, a contributing editor to Travel and Leisure Golf and a notorious golf blogger. He is also the co-author of the Canadian bestseller Always Fresh with former Tim Hortons owner Ron Joyce. He has traveled throughout Canada playing the best courses of Stanley Thompson (sadly no relation), and after eight attempts is still trying to figure out the secrets of the second hole at Highlands Links.  Brent Long - After graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, Brent spent a decade at The Cambridge Reporter covering everything from politics to sports. He also developed a passion, if not an obsession, for the game of golf, playing 102 different 18-hole courses in 1998 and hasnt looked back. He started his own Burlington-based golf marketing, writing and photography business, Longshot Communications, in May 2002. Brent continues to take photographs and contribute regularly for Canadas top golf magazines. He has been a member of the Ontario Golf ranking panel for the Ontarios Top 50 courses in 2001, 2003 and 2005.  Adam McCauley - If the golf world were to vote one of its own into the United Nations, forget Arnold Palmer or Gary PlayerAdam McCauley is your man. The Oakville, Ontario native, whos wrapping up his second year on a golf scholarship at Eastern Michigan University with a cumulative GPA of 3.97, is a plus-two whos competed in the Canadian Men's Amateur, the Toronto Star Amateur and the Ontario Men's Amateur. He was also the Canadian Junior Golf Associations 2004 Male Junior Golfer of the Year. His working thesis (Marxist Economic Theory and its Effect on American Democracy) goes hand in hand with someone who also serves as president of the United Nations Student Alliance (EMU 2006-2007) and who was nominated to represent Canada in 2007 Global Leadership Summit. adammccauley@mac.com |
